Child Care Program Information: Philosophy

The Park Slope Schoolhouse balances a developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum with the natural process of a child's growth—physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively. 

Children are encouraged to make their own choices and to develop an appropriate level of independence while remaining respectful and responsible members of a larger day care classroom and preschool community. Under the supportive care of teachers who are qualified, trained and experienced in early childhood education, children thrive and grow.  We follow policies and procedures, enabling us to provide a safe, well-organized day care program.
